Multiracial People’s Experiences in Online Groups

This project analyzed multiracial people’s experiences in Facebook groups focused on multiracialism. Findings shed light on how online groups can promote identity development and belonging for people with minority identities.

The primary analyses from this study are published in Current Psychology.

A secondary analysis of the data investigates latent profiles of group use and their associations with offline wellbeing. This manuscript is currently under review for publication in Affective Science.

Finally, a thematic analysis of participants’ open-ended descriptions of their group experiences is currently under revision in the Asian Journal of Social Psychology.
